Forex Trading for the Layman (That’s you and me!)


I am Drake Brooks. Welcome!

What my Blog is all about....in a nutshell:

  • Share with you my experience starting out in Forex and where I stand now
  • Share with you 3 e-books (more to be added) which I bought...but they are yours FREE as a special thank you for visiting my site
  • A trading system I came up with for you to rate or use or suggest improvements on (Complete with charts and profit/loss details)
  • And finally, if you are just starting out, to help you step-by-step. I will teach you how to forex from scratch. Once you get the hang of it, you can head off on your own. You might want to bookmark my library on all the Forex e-books and links which you may want to refer to in the future.

But...First up...rest assured, everything on my blog is free. My intention is not to sell stuff but to share stuff.

Now that we have this clear...

Lets have a chat about Forex. Before I started Forexing, I went to School. No...Really! I learnt a lot from babypips. Education was free and once it was over, I decided to put my knowledge to work in the real world.

Then I decided to start trading myself.

I opened an account with Easy-Forex. Deposited the minimum sum of $100. Then I tried my best to apply all I learnt and guess what?

I LOST ALL MY MONEY!

Then I became hungry for forex knowledge. I read FREE e-books and even bought some good ones.

Moving on...

I read and read alot of articles on trading systems and indicators etc. Everytime I learnt something new, I tried to apply it by trading on my Easy-Forex account. I did make a few profits but I made quite a bit of losses.

I tried a lot of complicated systems from Fibonacci to MACD to RSI to Parabolic SAR. I finally learnt the SIMPLE truth through my losses.

Rule number 1: Keep your trading system SIMPLE!

Rule number 2: Stick to it!

I realised that my emotions tend to came in the way of my trading sometimes. And that inadvertently contributed to my losses.

So I came up with a system which I have been using since 3 months ago. I do not have much time to trade but when I do, I seemed to be getting more profits then losses.



As another thank you for tolerating my rambling thus far, I would like to share my system with you. I will also update my weekly wins and losses over here. You can test my system for yourself if you like. Of course, it is absolutely FREE!



Why am I sharing my system with you?

I believe in the magic of sharing. If you see any kinks in my system we both have a better system to work with. And if my system is working out great for you, then it just boosts my ...erhemm....ego...as I deviced this from scratch.

here is another reason why I created this blog. To make more friends with like-minded Forex traders. So if you have friends who like to get started with forex, please recommend me.


Oh...if you are like me a few years ago....know nuts about forex but would like to start, please let me help you. Just follow the instructions step by step, and in no time...you will be well on your way.
